Something about this guy that awakens cool nostalgic feelings in me, even though I wasn't even born when Steve McQueen made his best movies, Bullitt and The Getaway in the 60's & 70's. But Thank God for the long lifespan of camera film and tapes.
Do you know that the 90's Ford Puma TV-commercial in which McQueen appears driving his new Puma through the streets of San Fransisco (and parks the Puma in the garage at the side of the old Bullitt Puma) is all a big hoax. McQueen died in the 80's so by using clewer bluescreeen matting and computer assisted tricks McQueen was given life again for a moment. Personally I think McQueen turned in his grave due to the commercial, but it was cool, that it certainly was... So now I'm just waiting for an entire feature movie with a computer animated McQueen.
